Crime Branch seize fake currency: arrest 2 persons
Ahmedabad, May 8 (UNI) Crime Branch sleuths today seized fake currency worth Rs 70,000, in denomination of Rs 500, and arrested two persons in this connection from Ashram Road area of the city.
Acting on specific information, the team led by inspector A V Gakhad set up a dragnet near C U Shah College on Ashram Road and arrested two persons while they were exchaging fake currency of Rs 70,000 in denomination of Rs 500, crime branch sources said.
Two people-Dipesh Joytindra Mehta and Rasik Ratansinh-- were arrested, police said.
Crime branch sleuths also seized genuine currency of Rs 80,000 from the two.
