Ashok Leyland net up 5.27% at Rs 180.56 cr
New Delhi, May 8 (UNI) Ashok Leyland, flagship firm of the Hinduja Group, today said it has posted 5.27 per cent increase in its profit to Rs 180.56 crore for the quarter ended March 2008 as compared to Rs 171.51 crore for the same period last year.
Its total income surged 11.51 per cent to Rs 2573.61 crore for the quarter ended March 2008 from Rs 2,307.89 crore for the quarter ended March 2007.
The company registered 6.35 per cent increase in its net profit to Rs 469.31 crore for the year ended March 2008, against Rs 441.28 crore for the corresponding period previous year.
The total income witnessed a hike of 7.79 per cent to Rs 7,803.12 crore for the year ended March 2008 from Rs 7,238.97 crore for the year ended March 2007.
