Amar Singh expresses threat to life
Azamgarh, May 8 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) general secretary Amar Singh today alleged there was threat to his life from the ruling Mayawati led-Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) government in Uttar Pradesh, saying law and order situation had totally collapsed under her rule.
Mr Singh said this while addressing mediapersons here after attending 'tehrvi'ceremony of village Deha gram pradhan Pappu Singh, who was murdered.
''Goons were ruling the roost under Ms Mayawati's regime,'' the SP general secretary said adding, ''the UP government is taking back gunners of the SP workers.'' ''The state government is targetting the SP leaders, and I fear threat to my life,'' Mr Singh alleged.
The CM was busy beautifying parks in the state, while problems like price hike, unemployment and poverty were increasing day-dy-day, he alleged.
