Suicide bomber kills three in Northwest Pakistan

Northwest Frontier Province, Pakistan, May 7th 2008 : A suicide bomber blew himself near a police checkpost in the north-western Pakistani town of Bannu on May 6 killing three people, including a policeman, the military personnel said.

Pakistan saw a wave of suicide bomb attacks after an army assault on a radical mosque in the capital last July. A bomber travelling in an auto-rickshaw taxi blew himself up when a policeman stopped him near a checkpost in the town in North West Frontier Province.
