Two killed as tempo hits train in Moradabad division
New Delhi, May 7 (UNI) Two people were killed when their tempo dashed with a passenger train at an unmanned crossing in Moradabad division today, the Northern Railway said today.
A Northern Railway spokesperson said the tempo dashed with the Sitapur-Shahjahanpur passenger train at the unmanned level crossing gate between Mahaoli-Mickleganj stations on Sitapur Cantonment-Roza section in Moradabad division at 1155 hrs.
Tempo driver Gulati and his assistant Triloki Nath died on the spot, he added.
The train resumed its onward journey at 1250 hrs after the line was made functional.
The spokesperson blamed negligent driving for the accident.
