Police seize bombs, lethal weapons, arrest 11
Guntur, May 7 (UNI) Police have seized 51 country-made bombs, ten axes,a hunting sickle and raw materials used for making bombsand arrested 11 people in this connections in Veldurthy Village in Guntur district.
Police said here today that acting on a tip off, a police team rushed to Veldurthi village and seized a plastic bucket containing 25 country made bombs from one Y Poli Reddy, a faction leader owing allegiance to Telugu Desam Party (TDP). One sickle, explosives, one and half kg of Potassium and two kg of Sulphur were also seized from another accused. Another person, who had supplied the materials was also apprehended.
Based on their confession, police also arrested five more persons in the village and seized two more plastic buckets, each containing 13 country made bombs and ten axes from them.
