'Old ways of leadership no longer valid'

Pune, May 7 (UNI) Organisations clinging to old ways of leadership and management cannot continue and prosper for long, according to Leadership Management, a professional development company.

The Leadership Management International (LMI), USA, organises performance improvement programs in 70 countries and in 23 different languages for the last 33 years.

In India, 10,000 executives have benefitted from Leadership Management's programs, according to LMI India managing director Monica Doshi.

Ms Doshi, while speaking to reporters here, said seminars do not work. New ideas heard in a seminar are quickly forgotten and seldom implemented, she said.

Therefore, Leadership Management offers short action-oriented sessions held on regular basis at the clients workplace and, in the process, costly travel expenses are eliminated, she said.

Leadership Management was founded by Paul J Meyer to help individuals and organizations develop expertise in setting and reaching personal and business goals, she said.
