MRD sanctions funds rural funds to Meghalaya
Shillong, May 07 (UNI) The Union Rural Development ministry has allocated Rs 13.09 lakh as part payment of first installment of Centre's share for implementation of Swarnjayanti Gram Swarojgar Yojana (SGSY) in Meghalaya.
According to an official statement, the Union Ministry has allocated Rs 78.51 lakh with first installment being Rs 39.26 lakh during the current fiscal to the DRDA in Ri-Bhoi district.
The amount would be utilised on the programme as per approved guidelines of SGSY.
The funding patterns will be 75:25 by the Centre and state, the statement mentioned adding that the release of funds is subject to the audit by Internal Audit of the Ministry of Rural Development.
