JD(S) to implement internal reservation if voted to power

Mysore, May 7 (UNI) Janata Dal (Secular) National President H D Deve Gowda today said his party, if voted to power, will implement internal reservation policy.

Stating that no other party had shown any interest in internal reservation, Mr Gowda addressing public meetings in Varuna Assembly constituency, said JD(S) would implement all the promises made in its manifesto.

Earlier, speaking to newspersons at the helipad, Mr Gowda said the issue of implementing prohibition in the state would be given a thought only after the new government was formed and ''now it is premature to speak on the issue'', he added.

Replying to a question as to how many seats JD(S) expected to win in the elections, Mr Gowda said '' my effort is to bring the party to power on its own. However it is left to the people of the state to decide.'' UNI BSP MSP VV SY ND1952
