Indian to launch Dubai-Goa flights in a week

Dubai, May 7 (UNI) Two direct flights by Indian Airlines from Dubai to Goa will be started within a week, a senior official said.

Abhay Pathak, Regional Manager of Indian Airlines told Khaleej Times yesterday that the new service is expected to start in a week's time from Dubai every Thursday and Saturday from Goa to Dubai on the same day.

On March 28, Indian stopped its direct flights to Goa from Sharjah citing low traffic. The decision drew criticism from expatriates from Goa. "We had stopped the Goa direct operations as Air India Express had plans to start direct flights. However, the plan did not materialise due to shortage of aircraft." UNI XC NC BST0953
