Idea Cellular slashes STD, roaming charges

Hyderabad, May 7: Idea Cellular Limited today announced that it had slashed STD charges to Rs 1.30 paise per minute with effect from May 9.

According to a press release here, national roaming rates were also slashed. Roaming subscribers can avail a tariff of Rs one per minute on incoming call, Rs one for outgoing local calls and Rs 1.50 paise, while roaming, for all STD calls. The facility would be applicable from May 12. Chief Marketing Officer Pradeep Shrivastava said the new STD and the roaming charges would change the telephone scenario across the country.
