ICRA assigns mfA1+ rating to SBI mutual fund

New Delhi, May 7 (UNI) Credit rating agency ICRA has assigned a mfA1+ rating to SBI Premier Liquid Fund (SPLF) and SBI Short Horizon Fund (SSHF-LPF).

The rating is the highest credit-quality short-term rating assigned by ICRA to debt funds.

This scale, with benchmark maturity of 12 months, applies to debt funds weighted average maturity up to one year. Such funds generally include liquid funds and cash funds.

The rated fund carries the lowest risk, similar to that associated with short-term debt obligations rated in the highest-credit-quality-category.

''The rating should, however, not be construed as an indication of the performance of the mutual fund scheme or of volatility in its returns,'' a statement said.

SBI Fund Management Private Ltd (SBIFM), the asset management company for the SBI Mutual Fund (SBIMF) is a 66:37 joint venture between State Bank of India (SBI) and Societe Generale Asset Management (SGAM).
