Engineer held on graft charges,Manager dismissed in bribe case

Hyderabad, May 7 (UNI) Sleuths of the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) today arrested Additional Assistant Engineer of State Power Distribution Corporation Limited (APSPDCL) at Palamaner of Chittoor district when he accepted Rs 5,000 as bribe from a complainant.

The ACB officials recovered the amount from the Engineer P Seshadri Reddy. He was produced before Special Judge for ACB cases, Nellore.

In another bribery case, AP State Financial Corporation's (APSFC) Tirupati branch Assistant Manager K Subramanyam was dismissed from service following his conviction recently.

The corrupt official was trapped by the ACB on December 24, 2002 when he accepted Rs 5,000 as bribe, an official release said.
