DC Directive on election code to leaders
Mysore, May 7 (UNI) Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer P Manivannan today said leaders of all political parties on election campaign should leave the district by tomorrow evening.
Speaking to newspersons here, he said the leaders should leave the district by tomorrow evening when the election campaign ends.
Any violation would lead to stringent action against them.
He said in all 2140 electronic voting machines were kept ready to be despatched to the 1965 polling stations in the district. In addition, 331 EVMS were kept ready for replacements, if necessary, in the polling booths.
In all, 15,000 government officials from the state and the Centre have been drawn for election duty for the first phase polling day on May 10.
Three training programmes were conducted for these officials who are on election duty in the district.
