Congress not for coalition in Karnataka: Sonia
Tumkur, Karnataka, May 7 (UNI) Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi, expressing confidence in her party bouncing back to power in Karnataka, today categorically ruled out going for coalition in the State.
Addressing a public meeting here, she said that "the Congress would not go in for coalition and would not compromise on its principles for power at any cost." Stating that non-Congress government's in Karnataka have never been successful, Ms Gandhi said that only Congress can provide a stable government that would complete full tenure of five years.
She said that the coalition between JD(S)-BJP resulted in rampant corruption and exposed both the party's hungry for power.
