Composite index of metals and energy advance

Mumbai, May 7 (UNI) The composite index of metal and energy advanced by 2,914.47 points at the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) here today.

Gold futures made fractional gains including gold August 08 contract by 0.54 pc at Rs 11,650 per 10 grams and October 08 contract by 0.52 pc at Rs 11,709 per 10 grams.

There was a 0.96 pc rise at Rs 120.90 per kg in aluminum June 08 contract. Tin May 08 contract was up by 2.87 pc at Rs 1014 per kg while zinc July 08 contract by 2.68 pc at Rs 95.85 per kg.

Crude oil September 08 contract inched up 3.87 pc at Rs 4810 per barrel and August 08 contract was up 3.14 pc at Rs 4920 per barrel were among the contracts that rose.

There was a sharp rise of 3.82 pc at Rs 3451 per quintal in turmeric June 08 contract. Rubber May 08 contract was up by 2.92 pc at Rs 11658 per quintal.

Crude oil September 08 contract was up 3.87 pc at Rs 4810 per barrel, MCX release said.
