Commission submits report to CM
Hyderabad, May 7 (UNI) Justice Panduranga Rao Commission today submitted its report on 'Mudigonda police firing' to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekahra Reddy at his chambers here today.
The government had constituted the Commission under the retired High Court Judge Panduranga Rao to conduct an inquiry into the Mudigonda police firing, in which six people were killed and more than five persons were injured on July 28, 2007.
Police opened fire at the Left activists when they pelted stones at the forces deployed in the village. The Left party was organising a dharna demanding that the government should distribute agricultural lands and house sites to all poor people in the State, as part of the the statewide agitation.
