Bhubaneshwar, May 7 : The main accused Raja alias Sandeep Acharya behind the murder of child prodigy Budhia Singh's former coach Biranchi Das, was brought to Bhubaneswar today by Orissa Police amidst heavy security.

A five-member team, headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Suresh Mohapatra, flew the accused here, police sources said.

After his arrival, Raja was taken to an undisclosed place from the airport, where police personnel were deployed to prevent any untoward incident apparently in view of the criminal background of the accused, the sources said.

His face was immediately covered with a piece of cloth by the policemen as he started shouting names of senior IAS officer Priyabrata Patnaik and album artist Leslie Tripathy.

Arrested co-accused Chagala had also named Patnaik.

Patnaik was removed from the office on April 29 by the State Government after his admission that he had met Acharya a month before the murder.

Acharya is expected to be produced before a court shortly.

Acharya, who is facing over 30 cases of extortion, murder and kidnapping, had been on the run since Biranchi's murder on April 13 after the issuance of a non-bailable warrant against him by the Orissa Police.

Das was shot dead outside a judo centre in Bhubaneswar.

Chhagla who had claimed to be one of Das' killers, surrendered to the police in Bhopal on April 22.
