UP govt transfers 3 IPS, posts another

Lucknow, May 6 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government tonight transferred three senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers and appointed another, who was awaiting post, in the state.

Gyan Prakash, Inspector General of Police (IG), Gorakhpur zone, is new IG, Allahabad zone, while earlier incumbent A K D Dwivedi has been appointed IG (Crime), UP, Lucknow.

G P Sharma, IG (CI), Intelligence, Lucknow, has been given the charge of IG, Gorakhpur zone, while Harishchandra Kashyap, the IG who was awaiting post is new IG, Personnel, UP, Lucknow.
