Royal Challengers CEO resigns
Bangalore, May 6 (UNI) Liquor baron Vijay Mallya owned Bangalore Royal Challengers, which is struggling in the Indian Professional League with a series of losses, today appointed former test cricketer Brijesh Patel as its new CEO replacing Charu Sharma who had resigned on 'personal reasons'.
A release today said, "Royal Challengers Sports Pvt Ltd has announced that Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) Hon.
Secretary Patel assumed the office.
Royal Challengers team acknowledged Charu Sharma's contributions and wished him luck in his future endeavours, the release added.
The Rahul Dravid led local team had struggled in the league which has crossed the half way mark. In seven matches it has won only two and lost the remaining five to be in the bottom of the eight-team league.
