Pandit Kishan Maharaj was finest tabla player: PM

New Delhi, May 6 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today expressed deep sorrow over the death of tabla maestro Pandit Kishan Maharaj.

In the death of Kishan Maharaj, the nation has lost one of the ''finest tabla players'' whose career spanned over half a century.

His contribution as a master tabla player would always be remembered by generations to come, Dr Singh said in a condolence message.
