MP CM expresses displeasure over Vivekanand Scheme
Bhopal, May 6 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed displeasure over delay in settlement of cases by banks under Vivekanand Group Insurance Scheme.
Mr Chouhan was reviewing the scheme at a high-level meeting at the Secretariat here today.
''The objective of the scheme was negated due to such delay,'' he said and directed review of 1,634 cases, which were rejected last year.
Mr Chouhan also directed to explore entrusting any agency to run the sheme and to draft an insurance scheme for those who were not income tax payer or not included in any insurance scheme.
Under this scheme, payment of Rs 2 crore was made in 534 cases while 542 cases were still pending.
