MGMOA members hold demonstrations

Nashik, May 6 (UNI) Maharashtra Gazetted Medical Officers Association (MGMOA) members today held demonstrations at the Zilla Parishad office here to press for their demands.

The members submitted a memorandum to Zilla Parishad chairman Radhakisan Sonawane who assured them that the Zilla Parishad administration would send a proposal to the state government to take immediate decision on the demands of the agitating doctors.

Meanwhile, MLA Dr Shobha Bachhav also visited the agitating doctors. She spoke to Health Minister Vimal Mundada on phone today.

She has also assured the doctors that she would meet Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh tomorrow and urge him to look into the matter.

Meanwhile, on the 5th day of the agitation, doctors at the district civil hospital have extended support to the agitating doctors and the work at the hospital was affected for the second consecutive day today. Patients are suffering inconvenience due to the strike.
