Medical student comits suicide

Jaipur, May 6 (UNI) An eighth semester student of SMS Medical College committed suicide by consuming poison in his hostel room here last night.

According to Police, Sanjay Agrawal was found unconscious in his hostel room this morning. He was immediately rushed to the SMS Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

No suicide note was found but, empty pouches of selphos powder were found from his room,a Police spokesman said.

"Prima facie it is a case of suicide but we will check all possibilities" the spokesman added.

This is the second incident of suicide by a student in the city.

Earlier, a private engineering college girl student committed suicide by jumping from her hostel building on Sunday.
