Jawan shoots colleague to death in rajouri

Jammu, May 6 (UNI) An army jawan today killed his colleague by shooting him with a service weapon in tehsil Nowshera of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here said.

''Naib Subedar Lal Bahadur, 46, resident of Gorkhpur was shot dead by the jawan, identified as signalman Inderjit Singh, around 0900 hrs with his service weapon while he was on his duty,'' official sources told UNI.

Both the accused and the deceased were posted in Tain village of tehsil Nowshera.

An FIR has been lodged and an enquiry has been ordered, sources said.
