HC stays proceeding against Ex-Minister
Kochi, May 6 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today stayed the proceedings against former Electricity Minister C V Padmarajan in the Brahmapuram Diesel Power Project Case.
Mr Justice K P Balachandran, the vacation Judge, stayed the proceedings against the former minister pending before the Thrissur Vigilance Court.
The Vigilance had filed a chargesheet against the former Minister who was cited as the fifth accused in the corruption case.
The allegation was Mr Padmarajan, while he was the Minister,had entered into an agreement with a French company and bought generators without floating a global tender, causing huge loss to the State exchequer.
