MP: Court orders probe into murder charge on MLA

Satna, MP, May 6: A local court has ordered police to present a report on May 15 in connection with a complaint that BJP MLA Shankarlal Tiwari had allegedly murdered a female health employee and destroyed the evidences.

In a complaint submitted before Chief Judicial Magistrate victim's husband Shobhnath Singh said death of district hospital's employee Urmila Singh in the hospital on April 4 was not natural. MLA and his son manhandled the woman resulting in her death, he said. The complaint said due to legislator's pressure, Dr K L Namdev declared it as a natural death. Similarly, no action was taken on the FIR registered with Kotwali police station against the MLA on April 14, it added.
