Case against UP MLA Dhananjay Singh

Jaunpur, May 6 (UNI) The Samajwadi Party (SP) today registered a case against Uttar Pradesh MLA Dhananjay Singh for allegedly opening fire in the air and using abusive language against the SP workers.

As per the allegation, the MLA and his supporters used objectionable language for the SP workers and fired in the air firing during the counting of votes, which were cast on a No-confidence motion in Sujanganj block.

The MLA was also taken to Baksa police station for inquiry, but he was released after an hour, sources said.

Later, Dhananjay blamed the SP for conspiring his murder. He claimed that it was constables, who opened fire in the air and pelted stones on his vehicle.

Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police Chandra Prakash said cross cases had been registered against both the parties in Sujanganj police station.
