Wife killed, husband injured in mishap

Fatehgarh Sahib, May 5 (UNI) One person was killed and another injured when their scooter was hit by a car near Mandera village in the district today, police here stated.

According to the police, Kewal Singh and his wife Baldev Kaur were on their way to their village, Lakhanpur when their scooter was hit by a speding car.

The wife died on the spot, the husband was admitted to the civil hospital at Khamano and then refered to the CMC hospital in Ludhiana. The car sped away after hitting the couple's scooter.
