US policies reason for all problems: CM

Kottayam, May 5: Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today criticised US President George Bush for blaming India for the Global food crisis.

The neo liberal policy of the US was the main reason for all problems, he alleged.

The Chief Minister was inaugurating silver Jubilee of the Mahatma Gandhi University Employees' Association here.

He said the Government was evolving a comprehensive policy to improve food production in the State.

Referring to financial crisis in Universities Mr Achuthanandan advised the Universities to mobilize own funds and evolve schemes to get maximum UGC grant.

The Chief Minister criticised certain private managements for behaving irresponsibly.
