Mumbai, May 5: Taking a cue from cousin Raj, Shiv Sena Executive President Uddhav Thackeray said Maharashtrians in Mumbai and other cities should come together and prosper in the State as it is their right. Speaking at a function here on May 4 in a programme ''Garajto Marathi'', Mr Thackeray said Maharashtrians had not been successful in taking advantage of its glorious past and had always felt shy in coming forward in life.

Mr Thackeray, speaking in a complete pro Marathi language said Maharashtrians in the trade of selling ''Vada Poa'', a maharashtrian potato delicacy with bread, should join hands and take it to other countries like Mac donalds and should not feel bad about doing the business of Vada Pao. He regretted that Maharahtrians had not able to take advantage of Vada Pao trade while someone else had patented the same and made millions.

Mr Thackeray said Shiv Sena would help the people, who were in the trade of Vada Pao and added that an association would be formed for their benefit. It seems that he has learnt from Raj's speech yesterday and chose to speak only about Maharashtrian welfare and their development in his speech.

''I have told my party activists to go to farmers and others in interior Maharashtra to bring them to Mumbai rather than allow the migranmts from other states to flourish in Mumbai,'' Mr Thackeray said.

Speaking about Maharashtrian pride, he said the Shiv Sena had always been the torch bearer of Marathi Manus in the State.
