Jabalpur, May 5 (UNI) Ten members of Pardhi gang, active in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, have been arrested and looted material worth Rs 1.50 lakh seized from them, police said today.
''Gohalpur Station House Officer Devesh Pathak received a tip-off last night that some people were sitting under a bridge at Bypass road and planning to carry out burglary in bullion trader Abhishek Soni's house in Amkhera village,'' Superintendent of Police Makrand Deoskar told reporters here.
Police parties cordoned off the area and arrested the accused. On the basis of their interrogation, police seized more than 100 gm gold jewellery, 900 gm silver jewellery and more than 100 key bunches used in carrying out thefts from different places.
Jewellery was stolen by the gang from Ms Rajmati Jain's house in Adhartal area in this district on April 15.
