Sonia Gandhi launches satellite TV channel Vasanth

New Delhi, may 5 : Congress president Sonia Gandhi today launched the satellite TV channel Vasanth from the party headquarters at 24, Akbar Road here.

The launching was done in the presence of H. Vasanthkumar, chairman and managing director of the channel, and Congress MLA in Tamil Nadu.

Apart from news and current affairs, the channel will also provide entertainment via tele-serials, feature films and documentaries.

It will also focus on the Congress party and its achievements. It is to begin formal broadcasting from May 19.
