No construction agency allowed to loot govt fund: Nitish
Patna, May 5 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today warned that no agencies engaged in road construction works would be allowed to ''loot the government fund''.
Mr Kumar told reporters here that the Bihar government was committed to developing infrastructure and no compromise would be made with quality of roads in the state.
'' Any agency responsible for construction of poor quality roads would not be spared,'' he warned.
When asked about scrapping of contracts of Tantia Construction Limited (TCL) enaged in road construction in Patna and other parts of the state, Mr Kumar said the decision was taken in the state road construction department and it required no approval from the chief minister.
''I was informed by the concerned officers that all options like warning and penalty had been exhausted before taking the decision of scrapping the contracts of TCL,'' he stated.
