Nippon Paint enters Gujarat paint market

Ahmedabad, May 5 (UNI) After its launch in the southern states in India, Nippon Paint is now all set to enter western India with its first store opening in the city.

Nippon Paint (India) Vice-President (Decoratives) Ramakanth Akula said ''The last one year Nippon Paint has made a mark in South India with a range of high quality products that are backed by extensive research and development, a strong distribution network and above all giving superior quality products at affordable price range. We will commence our geographical expansion into Western markets this year.'' He said in the initial phase, the Company is importing paints from its group companies. The Company is also setting up a manufacturing facility in Chennai and plans to introduce some of its internationally renowned interior and exterior emulsions in India, he said.

After making inroads into Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Korea, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Nippon Paint also garnered a sizeable share of the decorative market in China. The Company has operations in Europe and America as well, Mr Akula added.
