Miscreants rob Rs 1.5 lakh from computer engineer

Puducherry, May 5 (UNI) Miscreants stole Rs 1.5 lakh from a computer engineer here today.

Police said Selvanathan of Pethichettipet had availed a loan of Rs 1.5 lakh from a bank here and was travelling on his motorcycle to his residence with the money inside the box of his vehicle.

Mr Selvanathan met his brother on the way and parked his vehicle to have a conversation with him. However, when he returned, he found the box broken and money missing.

A case had been registered and investigation was underway, police added.
