Lok Sabha adjourned till 1400 hours

{image-Lok sabha1_05052008.jpg news.oneindia.in}New Delhi, May 5: Speaker Somnath Chatterjee adjourned the Lok Sabha till 1400 hrs today after paying obituary reference to noted Gandhian and Rajya Sabha member Nirmala Deshpande, who passed away here on May 1.

While Mr Chatterjee was reading the obituary reference, the members from the opposition National Democratic Alliance (NDA) were seen with their fingers on their mouths in protest against the Speaker's decision to refer 32 of their colleagues to the Privileges Committee for creating ruckus in the House. As soon as the Question Hour began, SP's Ramjilal Suman stood up to raise the issue of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray's tirade against the North Indians.

And as Yerran Naidu of the TDP also rose to speak, the Speaker adjourned the House till 1400 hrs.
