Composite index of metals and energy gain

Mumbai, May 5 (UNI) The composite index of metal and energy gained by 2,814.27 points at the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) here today.

Bullion contracts made marginal recoveries. Among gold contracts, February 09 contract was up by 2.79 pc at Rs 11,729 per 10 grams.

June 08 contract gained by 0.75 pc at Rs 11,392 per 10 grams, Silver May contract advanced by 1.39 pc at Rs 22,211 per kg, while silver December 08 contract by 0.95 pc at Rs 22,825 per kg.

Copper August 08 contract edged up by 0.44 pc at Rs 341.10 per kg.

Crude oil July 08 contract inched up by 0.58 pc at Rs 4662 per barrel. Chana July 08 contract gained 2.30 pc at Rs 2666 per quintal.

Gold February 09 contract was rose 2.79 at Rs 11,729 per 10 grams, MCX release said.
