New Delhi, May 5 (UNI) C&C Constructions Ltd along with its joint venture partner BSCPL have received a Rs 344 crore order for constructing a 103-km long road in Afghanistan.

This order by the American consortium of The Louis Berger Group Inc and Black and Veatch Special Projects Corp JV is the single largest order received by the C&C JV in Afghanistan.

The scope of work includes rehabilitation and construction of Gardez Khost Road in Afghanistan, which is to be completed in 18 months by December 2009, a statement said.

The complete security cover for this project will be provided by the American consortium, a statement said today.

Apart from this international order, C&C Constructions Ltd had recently bagged an order for Rs 574 crore from JPAssociates to construct the road from Zirakpur to Parwanoo.

Their current order book now stands at over three times its expected turnover for financial year 2008-09 at Rs 1,668 crore to be executed within the next two and half years.
