Read 'Manasulomata' to know Naidu's intentions: Indavalli Arun Kumar
Hyderabad, May 4 (UNI) Congress MP Undavalli Arun Kumar today called upon the people to read 'Manasulomata', the book written by TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu, to know his 'real intentions'.
Participating in a seminar, organised by the National Students Union of India (NSUI), he alleged that Mr Naidu was making several promises during his on going 'Chaitanya Yatra' to mislead the people.
Reading out some of the portions in the book, he said Mr Naidu had mentioned in the book that it was difficult to continue subsidy for the 'Rs 2 per kg rice scheme' and free power to the farmers and there was ''no use'' with the Panchayat Raj system. The contents in the book were against the wishes of the people, he added.
He demanded for a public debate over the book to create awareness among the people on the Opposition leader's anti-people policies adopted during his tenure.
Communist Party of India (CPI) leader K Lakshmi Narayana said the political parties were losing credibility as they were failing to implement the promises, made during the elections, after coming to power. He alleged that the previous TDP Government in the State had failed to provide food security for the people.
NSUI State President Vamsi Chandra Reddy said it would organise this type of seminars in every districts to create awareness among the people on the anti-people policies adopted by the TDP during its regime.
