Mother,son commits suicide, daughter serious

Gorakhpur, May 4 (UNI) A woman died along with her minor son, while her daughter was fighting for life in hospital after the trio consumed poiso in Jagha area here.

Maya Devi (37) consumed poison along with her children -- Pinki (12) and Vinay (10) -- late last night, police said today.

The trio were rushed to a hospital in a life threatening condition, where Maya and Vinay succumbed to death.

Pinki's condition was said to be critical, the police added.

The reason behind the woman's extreme step was not known.
