MCI selects Ashraf for Dr B C Roy award
Tiruchirapalli, May 4 (UNI) M S Ashraf, Vice President of the Tamil Nadu Medical Council was chosen for the prestigious Dr B C Roy Award by the Medical Council of India(MCI) for his contribution in the field of medicine.
A press release from the local chapter of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) said, Dr Ashraf is a senior physician in the city and had previously served as the National Vice President of the IMA.
Dr Ashraf would be conferred award under the 'social medical relief' category. He was also the Zonal Coordinator of 'Aao Gaon Chalen', a rural health care project of the IMA, the release added.
