Kakinada Govt Hospital set to become model
Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, May 4 (UNI) The Kakinada Government General Hospital in this port city, which serves the people of both East and West Godavari Districts, will be upgraded into a model hospital at a cost of Rs 23.25 lakh.
A decision to this effect was taken at a special meeting held at the collectorate here today.
Presiding over the meeting, Collector Gopalakrishna Dwivedi said all civil works would be attended to by the engineering wing of the corporation.
He also directed the Hospital Superintendent to ensure completion of repairs to the medical equipment and award Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) to reputed companies.
The Collector also instructed the superintendent to review the functioning of the hospital once a month.
