Govt will provide quality health care to poor: CM
Hyderabad, May 4 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy said that the government was committed to provide quality health care for all the poor people in the State through the Rajiv Aarogya Sree Health Insurance scheme.
While reviewing the implementation of the scheme by the officials here today, he said the government had already initiated several measures to provide good health care in the State.
Along with Aarogya Sree Health scheme, the government had also introduced two emergency ambulance services, which were functioning very effectively in providing emergency services to the needy people in the entire State.
The scheme would be implemented in all the districts by October this year.
He said the universities in America were also showing interest in Aarogya Sree Health scheme and the government's main aim was to provide international super speciality health care to the poor people, he added.
Dr Reddy asked the officials to submit a report on the American Universities proposal to provide latest technology to the multi speciality hospital facililities in the state.
He said the government would invite the investments in health sector from the NRIs for the construction of big hospitals in the State with a view to provide medical facilities in remote areas.
