Fire breaks out in a passenger train

Patna, May 4 (UNI) Fire broke out in a passenger train at Phulwarisharif railway station at 1830 hrs when it was on way to Danapur railway station for maintainence.

Sources at railway heaequarter said here today that the fire suddenly engulfed the generator car of the passenger train which was empty.

The sources said that the fire brigade arrived at Phulwarisharif railway station and doused the flames by 1920 hrs.

According to the force plying of trains on both Up and Down lines remained suspended and electric supply into the overhead electric wires snapped to prevent any major mishap.

No casualty or injury had been reported in the inferno as the train was empty.

Train services were rusumed on both the tracks by 2000 hrs.

The reason behind outbreak of fire was being investigated.
