Antony Praises Santhigiri Ashram

Thiruvananthapuram, May 4 (UNI) Defence Minister A K Antony today said the greatest service to god was service to humanity and this was the message Santhigiri Ashram was giving to the world.

Inaugurating a public meeting in connection with the Nava Oli Jyotir Dinam Celebrations, at Pothancode, about 30 km from here, he said Santhigiri was engaged in activities that provide relief to the poor and common man.

Stating that Santhigiri's message was of peace, fraternity and service beyond the caste and religious discriminations, he said the ashram believes in unadulterated love of humanity.

Navajyothi Sree Karunakara Guru's life and vision should be a model for all of us, he said and added that it was heartening to see that the young generation was also following the model gifted by Guru.

Apart from the spiritual field, the services of Santhigiri Ashram in healthcare, social and education fields also were commendable, Mr Antony said.
