VHP, Bajrang Dal to campaign for Ganga conservation
Jaipur, May 3 (UNI) The Vishwa Hindu Parishad(VHP), Bajrang Dal and several other NGOs and social orgnisations will launch a joint nationwide campaign for immediate measures for conservation and cleaning of the holy Ganga river.
Talking to reporters here today Bajrang Dal National Convener Prakash Sharma said about 20-25 organisations which had been working for the cause of the holy Ganga, had recently floated the Ganga Rakshya Munch(GRM) to spearhead the campaign.
He said the first meeting of the GRM would be held at Patanjali Yoga Kendra in Hardwar on June 17 to chalkout the schedule and strategy for the campaign.
Dignitaries including VHP President Ashok Singhal,VHP leader Swami Chinmyanand,Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev, former BJP General Secretary KN Govindacharya and several Hindu saints would participate in the meeting.
On Bajrang Dal's activities Mr Sharma said that the Dal would hold its annual yatra for Buda Amarnath Shrine in Poonch area in Kashmir between August 1 and 11.
Physical fitness camps for training in marshal arts and arms use would be organised for the Bajrang Dal activists during May and June.
A total of 42 such camps were being planned at different places in the country, Mr Sharma said.
