Unidentified persons rob 3 in Kolhapur Dist

Kolhapur, May 3 (UNI) Unidentified persons allegedly robbed three persons of about Rs 1 lakh on Peth Vadgaon-Latawade road in Hatkanan Gale tehsil of the district.

The unknown persons first attacked two brothers -- Sachin More and Ranjeet More, who were returning home from work on a motobike after closing their shop at Vadgaon last night, with weapons and stole their mobile phones and gold ornaments. In the attack, Sachin was seriously injured, police sources said today.

The robbers also looted another man, Babasaheb Raosaheb Patil, who was also returning home from work, of his mobile phone and some cash. They tied his hands and legs before fleeing into a nearby sugarcane field, they said, adding, no arrest has been made in this connection.
