Two leopard cubs found; a cub rescued in two different places

Nashik, May 3 (UNI) Two leopard cubs were found and a cub was rescued in two different places here.

Two cubs were found in sugarcane field of one Ramkrishna Adke at Namegaon on Nashik Coorperative Sugar Factory road yesterday. When Mr Adke went to work in his field, he found the cubs which were said to be 10-day-old.

They were taken in custody by the forest department officials later. Residents of the village demanded that the mother of the cubs should be trapped.

In another incident, a leopard cub was saved from a well owned by farmer Bapu Shirsath, in Dangsoundane village. The cub must have come from the nearby forest areas. The farmer saw the cub in the well and informed the forest department officials who saved the cub and left into the forest later.
