Salim Pehalwan killers nabbed, pistol, cartridges seized

New Delhi, May 3 (UNI) Bringing down curtains on last month's sensational killing of a Congress leader in Yamuna Vihar, police have arrested two people of the Anwar Thakur gang and seized the weapon of offence and cartridges from their possession.

Mohammad Aqil alias Don and Azhar alias Thakur were arrested from Karkardooma court gates yesterday by the Special Cell sleuths, police said today.

''A nine mm pistol and five cartriges were recovered from them.'' During interrogation they admitted to their involvement in the killing of Saleem Pehalwan, general-secretary of Babbarpur Zila Congress Committee.

Salim Pehalwan was killed on the night of April 30 by the two accused allegdly over some old enmity.
